Today is the final message in the series from Ephesians 4, Transparency Matters. Ephesians 4:29-32 challenge us to always talk with kindness, live with tenderness, and forgive as we are forgiven. We will also review practical steps of repentance and forgiveness that keep us moving forward in our Christian walk.
Today’s message focuses on “truth.” To live a transparent life, we should be able to answer these questions: What is truth? What happens when truth does not matter? What happens when truth does matter? How do we discover truth? Truth separates us from the darkness of this world to bring light and glory to God.
Christians experience a changed life. We take off the old clothes that we once had and put on the new clothes provided by God. This scripture (Ephesians 4:20-24) is holding us accountable to our new self in God.
Loving correction matters because our life is a heart issue. This message helps us understand how our natural heart is hardened, and what the results are of a hardened heart. Faith alone in Christ alone is salvation!
Love matters to Jesus. He desires His Church to grow up into His likeness. He calls us to a transparent work in the love of the Great “I Am” – the First and the Last; the Living One; the One who holds the keys of death and Hades. Love Matters!
These three verses of Ephesians point to He who gave; our responsibility to prepare; and unity in the fullness of Christ. Authentic transparent spiritual leadership is called upon to empower the church in its mission.
Gift-Based Ministry is God’s way of doing Church. God gifts His Church with everything it needs to do everything He plans to advance His Kingdom. He apportions spiritual gifts through the generous grace of Jesus Christ so the Church can transparently function as the Body of Christ. This message also describes why spiritual gifts matter from an historical perspective and the great victory won at the cross.
Today Pastor Alan starts a new series, “Transparency Matters”, based on Ephesians 4. Alan will explore Ephesians 4:1-6 and look at Unified Calling, Unified Character, and Unified Confession.
